About
Southeast, Washington, DC, native, NAPPYNAPPA is an MC / prolific repository of soul-liberating rap music. His ability to regard life objectively has inspired critically acclaimed projects such as his 2017 New Balance EP, as well as +HEARTMATH+, AUTONOMOUS, & IFEELJUSTLYKTHEIRART, released in 2018, 2019, and 2020 respectively. NAPPYNAPPA’s expressive, inspired, and distinctly hip-hop soundscape, in addition to his abstract, reflective discography — crafted alongside long-time producer, Black Moses — has landed him on the stage of most major music venues in DC, as well as appearances on Boiler Room and Adult Swim’s Bloodfest. The last three years have seen NAPPYNAPPA tour with DC/MD-based band, G.U.M.P., and Model Home - an electronic and vocal duo comprised of himself and Pat Cain experimenting in liberated sounds and lifestyles. In 2020, he continued touring, and pursued brand collaborations in order to further experiment with and evolve his genius - in 2021, and beyond, you can expect to see more of this from him, as well as many new, exciting, projects and releases.
